Smt. Sushila Devi

Smt. Sushila Devi, the woman, wife and companion of Ch. Chhabil Dass had the most profound & lasting influence on his life. Always by his side through thick & thin, she was and always remained his prompt and prop. As was the tradition and system in those times, Sushila Devi did not have much formal education. But she always had a very liberal outlook. Her magnanimity knew no bounds, when the poor & needy came to her for help. She treated all the servants, maids and helpers as her own children and always looked after them.
